Davos: Trump’s speech gave impression he’s suffering from location disorientation – Prof

A research professor at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, NIIA, Femi Otubanjo, has lashed out at United States President, Donald Trump, over his speech at the 2026 Davos.

Speaking during an interview on Arise Television on Thursday, Otubanjo said Trump’s speech gave the impression that he is suffering from location disorientation.

According to him: “It seemed to me that President Trump didn’t know where he was yesterday during his address. Davos is a symbol of global multilateralism, yet Trump was preaching American exceptionalism; he seemed to think he was speaking to a maga audience. The speech lacked grace, wit, and quality, and was reduced to insults.

“My impression of Trump when he was making that speech yesterday was that he was suffering from what you might call location disorientation, or special confusion. They probably did not know where he was.

“That’s why I talked about spatial confusion, because if you listen to the rambling speech, some part of it is that he allowed himself to use the teleprompter, but for the most part, he was on his own.

“The kind of things that you expect from an American president were not there. You will notice that all through the speech, there was no laughter, there was no applause, and even when he finished, the applause was not much.”
